  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 2 pie crusts
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and salt.
  3. Place one pie crust in a pie pan and fill it with the apple mixture.
  4. Add small pieces of butter on top of the apple mixture.
  5. Cover with the second pie crust, sealing the edges.
  6. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes.
