1 cup wild rice
3 cups chicken broth
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
1 cup cream of mushroom soup
1 cup frozen peas
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large saucepan, combine wild rice and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 45 minutes or until rice is tender.
In a large bowl, mix the cooked rice, chicken, turkey bacon, cream of mushroom soup, peas, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, and sprinkle with cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
You can substitute chicken with turkey or any preferred meat.
For a vegetarian option, replace the meat with additional vegetables.
