  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 2 tablespoons red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, and vanilla until fully combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. While the cake cools, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  7. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  8. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well blended.
  9. Once the cake is cool, spread the cream cheese mixture on top. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
