  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pie crust (top and bottom)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Gradually stir in chicken broth and milk, cooking until thickened.
  4. Add in the salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  5. Add the diced chicken and mixed vegetables, stirring until well combined.
  6. Pour the mixture into a pie crust placed in a pie dish.
  7. Cover with the top pie crust, sealing the edges.
  8. Cut slits into the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  10. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
