Classic Shepherd’s Pie is a delicious and comforting meal that brings together turkey bacon and hearty vegetables.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and crumble.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil, onion, and garlic; sauté until translucent.
  4. Add ground turkey, carrots, and peas; cook until turkey is browned.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and chicken broth; let simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, then spread mashed potatoes on top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden.

Notes

  • This pie can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
