  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and chop it.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter and whisk in the flour to create a roux.
  4. Gradually add the milk, stirring until the mixture thickens.
  5. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, and cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni, broccoli, and turkey bacon to the cheese sauce and mix well.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve warm.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the turkey bacon.
