  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the beef and brown on all sides.
  2. Add the diced onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in the paprika and caraway seeds.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes and beef broth, bringing to a simmer.
  5. Cover and cook for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the sour cream and flour until smooth. Stir into the goulash and heat through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
