Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  3. Place soaked slices on a hot skillet or griddle and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Transfer the cooked French toast to a baking sheet and sprinkle granulated sugar on top.
  5. Use a kitchen torch to brûlée the sugar until it caramelizes and forms a crispy top layer.
  6. Serve immediately, optionally pairing with fresh fruit or syrup.
