- 3 pounds chuck roast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 8 hoagie rolls
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the chuck roast on all sides until browned.
- Transfer the roast to a crockpot.
- Add sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme over the roast.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
