  • 2 pie crusts
  • 6 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the pie crusts and place one in a pie dish.
  3. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into the crust and dot with butter.
  5. Cover with the second crust, seal edges, and make slits for steam.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
  7. Reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 30-35 minutes until apples are soft.
