  • 3 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
  6. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
  8. Cool on wire racks before icing.
  9. To make the icing, mix confectioners’ sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add food coloring if desired.
  10. Decorate cooled cookies with icing.
