- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla to the yeast mixture; stir to combine.
- Gradually add flour, cinnamon, and salt. Knead until the dough is smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough and spread with softened butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices. Place in a greased baking dish.
- Let rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk for icing and drizzle over warm rolls.
