  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a pan, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then chop it into small pieces.
  4. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then whisk in the flour to create a roux.
  5. Slowly add the milk while whisking, and then stir in the garlic and onion powder.
  6. Once the sauce thickens, remove from heat and mix in the cheddar cheese until melted.
  7. Combine the macaroni, cheese sauce, and turkey bacon in a baking dish.
  8. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
