- 1 pound ground turkey
- 4 strips turkey bacon
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the turkey bacon in a large skillet until crispy, then remove and chop.
- Add the ground turkey to the skillet and cook until browned.
- Add onion, carrots, and garlic; sauté until softened.
- Stir in peas, tomato paste, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme; cook for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the turkey mixture to a baking dish.
- Boil potatoes until tender, then mash with butter and milk.
- Spread the mashed potatoes over the turkey mixture, topping with cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
