Nacho Cashew Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Soak cashews in water for at least 2 hours, then drain.
  2. Combine soaked cashews, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, apple cider vinegar, salt, and water in a blender.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve warm with nachos.

Notes

  • This sauce can be refrigerated for up to a week.
  • Reheat gently on the stove before serving if it thickens.
