Pioneer Woman Shepherd’s Pie Recipe

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 strips bacon
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add ground turkey and cook until browned.
  4. Add onions and garlic, cook until softened.
  5. Stir in mixed vegetables, tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and cooked bacon. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Spread the turkey mixture in a baking dish, then layer with mashed potatoes.
  7. Top with shredded cheese.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
