- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Reduce heat and stir in the cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the chopped turkey bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
