Shepherd’s Pie

Enjoy a comforting Shepherd’s Pie made with turkey bacon and chicken ham, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 pound turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add ground turkey and cook until browned.
  4. Add chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, peas and carrots, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in chopped turkey bacon.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread mashed potatoes on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, you can substitute ground turkey with lentils.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like corn or green beans.
