Shepherd’s Pie

A delicious twist on the classic shepherd’s pie, featuring flavorful turkey bacon and chicken ham for a unique taste.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy.
  3. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in ground turkey and cook until browned.
  5. Add mixed vegetables, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Layer diced chicken ham over the turkey mixture.
  7. Spread mashed potatoes evenly over the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, use olive oil or dairy-free butter in the mashed potatoes.
