Shepherd’s Pie Made Easy with Turkey Bacon and Chicken Ham

Shepherd’s Pie

A delicious twist on classic Shepherd’s Pie using turkey bacon and chicken ham for a lighter version that still delivers on flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 1 pound chicken ham
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and crumble.
  3. In the same skillet, add the chicken ham and cook until heated through.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings to the skillet, then stir in the crumbled turkey bacon.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a baking dish and top with mashed potatoes.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the potatoes are golden brown.

Notes

  • Feel free to add or substitute different vegetables according to your preference.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge until ready to bake.
