- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and chop.
- In the same skillet, add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Add ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until browned.
- Stir in the chopped turkey bacon, Worcestershire sauce, peas, and carrots. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add beef broth and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Spread the beef mixture in a baking dish and top with mashed potatoes.
- Bake for 25 minutes until the top is golden brown.
Notes
- For a creamier mashed potato topping, add butter and milk.
- Feel free to substitute other vegetables as desired.
